Both Of my email accounts with Yahoo(the one i'm logging into and my recovery account) are asking me to enter a verification code even after I've typed in the correct password. This has to be a flaw that yahoo probably didn't think threw.

Hi! I never had another email linked to my Yahoo mail account and only added a fake number to stop the pop-up asking for my phone number (I realize now that was a mistake. Back in 2001-ish it made more sense), BUT I know my security questions/answers… How can I navigate to THAT page to use that method to log in??? Is there a way to switch the NEW version of Yahoo mail back to basic? I know there was in the old version, but Yahoo forced me to "upgrade" to the new one today and there is no option to switch to basic anywhere in settings. In fact, there is almost nothing in settings, which seems to suggest that they are withholding certain features because I am blocking their ads. I've hated Yahoo mail for years, but I've been using it for so long that it'd be too hard to switch at this point. Anyway, is there a way I can go back from the latest version to basic (classic) mail? If not, I guess they are forcing me to finally switch to something better.
i get the verification code but then the box to enter is already populated and I can't override /delete/remove the letters to input the new code
